Sweep brings arrest at Wilmington nursing home
An employee of a Wilmington nursing home was arrested during a surprise “Operation Guardian” compliance check, Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced.
Investigators Friday morning arrested an employee of Embassy Health Care Center, 555 W. Kahler Road, during the 30th compliance check conducted by Madigan’s office and partnering state agencies.
“We will continue making surprise visits to nursing homes across Illinois to ensure nursing home residents and employees are abiding by the law,” Madigan said.
Investigators conducted the compliance check with assistance from the Wilmington Police Department and arrested Jameke Glover, 21, on an outstanding and active warrant for retail theft.
Madigan’s Operation Guardian nursing home compliance checks give state and local agencies the opportunity to review safety and compliance issues.
