Lindenhurst man faces child porn charges
A Lindenhurst man is the latest to be charged in a state initiative to track down the most active offenders in downloading and trading child pornography online.
Mark C. Galer, 55, of Lindenhurst is charged with reproduction of child pornography and four counts of possession of child pornography, all felonies, according to a statement from the Illinois Attorney General’s office.
Galer was arrested after investigators executed a search warrant at his home in the 2200 block of Valley Drive in Lindenhurst, according to the statement.
He is being held in the Lake County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
His next court date is July 7 in Waukegan.
It marked the 61st arrest in Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s Operation Glass House, launched in August 2010 to track down the most active child pornographers.
