There is little doubt incumbent Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is connected to the Illinois big-money machine. Being the stepdaughter of Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan can certainly have its perks. But, the attorney general continues to prove she is an independent force against crime. She works closely and effectively with state's attorneys and local law enforcement; her task forces are keen in fighting sex crimes, corruption and protecting consumers.

Schimpf was a career military man and a competent Marine prosecutor. Although he promises to fight corruption, handing him the office that represents one of the most embattled states in the union would be risky at best.

Koyl is a proud Libertarian and could have a successful career as a bankruptcy lawyer ahead of him. Vote for experience. Re-elect Lisa Madigan.
