Machesney Park man arrested on child porn charges
A local man is arrested for allegedly possessing and reproducing child pornography.
He is Robert Rossi, 39, of Machesney Park. He was arrested Wednesday at his residence on Wilshire Drive. He's charged with two counts of reproduction of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography. His bond is set at $750,000.
"Child pornography is not a victimless crime," Attorney General Lisa Madigan said. "Whenever an offender downloads or trades these horrific images, it perpetuates the sexual assault of children and only causes further devastation to the victims. We will continue to be relentless in apprehending these offenders."
The investigation and arrest were done by Madigan's office with assistance from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office.
