Statement on the passing of Rev. Willie T. Barrow

"We lost one of my favorite people today. The Rev. Willie T. Barrow had a huge heart. Her passions were always people and justice. She used her infectious energy to bring people together and move them forward. She never shrank from battle and was always up for a challenge. Her work at the forefront of the civil rights movement continued until her last days and is a premier example of the difference a strong woman can make in our world. I was blessed to call her a friend. I will miss her love and leadership." - Lisa Madigan
