Yorkville man facing child pornography charges

A Yorkville man is facing multiple felony child pornography charges.

According to Attorney General Lisa Madigan, investigators recently served a search warrant on a home in the 500 block of Yellow Stone Lane and arrested Henry Wojewski, 58, of the same address, after officials said child pornography was found.

Wojewski was charged with felony possession of child pornography containing images of a victim under the age 18, as well as seven counts of possession of child pornography containing images of a victim under the age of 13.

His bail was set at $100,000.

"Child pornography is not a victimless crime," Madigan said. "Whenever an offender downloads or trades these horrific images, it perpetuates the sexual assault of children, causing further devastation to the victims. We will continue to be relentless in apprehending these offenders."

Kendall County State's Attorney Eric Weis will prosecute the case.

Wojewski's arrest is the 77th arrest since Madigan launched the statewide initiative Operation Glass House in August 2010 to investigate the most active child pornography traders in Illinois.

"The Yorkville Police Department is committed to putting these offenders behind bars," said Yorkville Police Deputy Chief Terry Klingel.
